A smaller update this time, I wanted to get these two new features out quickly!
- Added 2B Serial USB support
- Improved inclusivity for EstimAI
- Plus a few smaller features and plenty of overall improvements!
A huge thank-you to all the subscribers and supporters who make it possible for me to keep my commitment to eudaimonia!
As always, feel free to reach out (contact@daimonia.app) if you run into any weird behavior, bugs, or just want to share feedback.
You can now use your 2B via a USB Serial link instead of Stereo. Two firmware versions are supported out of the box: the factory v106 and the latest v127B (they differ in how they handle intensity).
I think the signals are cleaner overall, and it's easier to craft good stims. Unfortunately, it doesn't use the 2B's built-in modes, because intensity varies a lot between them, and some modes can't really be sped up. There is still a delay before the signal is processed unfortunately, though.
This is something I've had in mind for quite some time, and I finally found a way to make it work (hopefully!).
You'll now be able to set your gender and sexual orientation in the settings, Public scenarios will then adapt accordingly.
This feature is still somewhat experimental, as there are quite a few constraints to take in consideration, so feel free to send me your feedback if you encounter any weird behavior.
I've completely rewritten the part of the prompt that handles the stims to make them blend more naturally into the narration. I hope this makes the experience feel more immersive and builds a greater sense of anticipation.
This may need you to rewrite the first messages of a scenario and example messages of your persona to fully take advantage of this.
For example: instead of writing this way:
*{{char}} presses a button on the remote and sends three shocks {{pain_example}}.*Prefer this:*{{pain_example}} a wicked smile draws on her lips as she presses a button on the remote.*You can now generate random characters for ComfyUI! This can be useful if you're out of inspiration or want to create a character around a specific theme. These are Lora-less characters, which means they might lack some consistency — but if you're using anime or semi-realism models, the detailed prompts should still provide a decent baseline. Since Loras can sometimes reduce overall image quality, this is a bit of a trade-off: a little consistency for a little extra quality.
You can now also generate samples of your character at different levels of clothing.
The last update broke the “Intelligent Image Sync” feature, but I've spent some time improving it. It should now associate more relevant images with the AI's responses. You can also create more interesting scenarios by combining this feature with a custom gallery. It uses the description field for each image in your gallery and tries to match the most relevant image to the action.
For a simple, schematic example: you could create a custom gallery with the six images of a dice's faces, then write a scenario where the AI “throws” the dice in its message. The displayed image should correspond to the face that matches the result.
Of course, this is meant to be used for more elaborate and richer ideas.
A very small amount of new content has been added to normal mode.
And many smaller improvements, such as:
The next update might take a bit of time (I'm aiming for the end of December) because I'll be completely reworking how stims are handled in EstimAI. The goal is to let users fully customize their stimming setup (multiple devices associated to different targets). The AI will be able to control stims independently for each device/target of your setup.
Nothing new here, but I wanted to showcase the Illustrious semi-realism models — I think they're excellent and offer a great compromise for those who aren't fans of the anime style.
Below is a comparison of different Illustrious semi-realism models (same prompts, with parameters taken from each model's page):
I recommend using Illustrious, especially semi-realism models. The quality I think the results are pretty good, see below.
New features and improvements have been made to the Image Generation feature:
Unfortunately I didn't have time to add much to the normal mode. But I will try to give it more love in the next update.
A single, but very important change: You can now customize the normal pain stim. Go to the EstimCraft page and pick from the painPatterns in Common stims: 'Normal'.
You can create a pattern that will be played and repeated for the duration, instead of the normal shock. The sadism setting still increases/decreases the duration of the stim.
Care, do not forget to also tweak the other pain patterns if you want to change the pain intensity level based on your new pain stim.
The new homepage represents two important things:
Work in progress / ideas that I have in mind, that I'm aiming to do before the end of the year (hopefully):
